About me

I've been using illustrations to express myself since I could hold a pencil ! About me During my career I have developed a service called Visualisation - working with teams to help them align their thinking around key messages by using pictures. By doing this "live" - ie, drawing people's ideas directly onto a whiteboard during the discussion - the resulting illustration becomes the focal point and allows everyone to get their thoughts aligned by developing an agreed solution ! In effect, everyone "sees what they mean".... History I was born in Bradford, England, and emigrated to Cape Town in South Africa with my parents at the age of 6. I graduated from Cape Town University with a BSc in Chemical Engineering. I then worked in the UK for many years in various engineering management roles in the brewing industry. In 2004 I emigrated to New Zealand with my wife and 2 children, and am currently employed with Beca as an asset management specialist. I lecture part-time at the Auckland Institute of Studies on Project Management and at Auckland University as part of the MBA program.
